Abstract:Objective:To investigate the risk factors and prevention strategies of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury during lymph node dissection in thyroid cancer. Methods:The data of 104 thyroid cancer patients admitted to Henan Hongli Hospital from January 2020 to November 2023 were analyzed by retrospective analysis. All patients were treated with radical thyroid cancer resection+lymph node dissection.According to the occurrence of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury,it was divided into occurrence group and non-occurrence group. The basic data of these two groups were collected to explore the risk factors of recurrent laryngeal nerve damage based on logistic regression. Results:Among 104 patients,25 cases of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury occurred, with an incidence rate of 24.04%.The tumor location, tumor stage, separation method, intraoperative visual field, and lymph node dissection were compared, and the differences all had statistical significance(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed bilateral tumor location, tumor stage, inferior thyroid angle, unclear intraoperative vision, and traditional lymph node dissection were high risk factors(P<0.05 and OR>1).Conclusion:The recurrent laryngeal nerve injury in thyroid cancer lymph node dissection is closely related to the bilateral tumor location, tumor stage, separation from the lower thyroid angle, unclear intraoperative vision, and traditional lymph node dissection.Preventive measures need to be taken to reduce the risk of injury.
