Implementation of Ideological and Political Education in Core Curriculum Teaching of Nursing Majors in Higher Vocational Education

Abstract:Objective:To explore the implementation effect of ideological and political education in core nursing courses.Methods:The control group consisted of 109 students from two nursing classes in the nursing major of 2021,and the observation group consisted of 111 students from two nursing classes in the nursing major of 2022.By forming ideological and political teaching teams,designing courses for education,exploring elements of ideological and political education,and compiling cases with ideological and political elements for teaching,a multi-subject,full-process,and all-round evaluation mechanism for course education is constructed.After the completion of professional courses,a questionnaire survey was conducted among the students in the observation group to investigate the effect of teaching reform and compare the humanistic qualities of the two groups.Results:The observation group was highly satisfied with the implementation of ideological and political education teaching reform in the core professional courses.The scores of each dimension and the overall humanistic quality of the patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference were all statistically significant(t=15.806,46.678,14.539,13.118,8.349,4.139,32.603;P<0.001).Conclusion:The reform of core courses in nursing can improve the humanistic and ideological literacy of students.
