Abstract:Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation and mini-plate fixation in for reduction fixation of supracondylar fracture of humerus(SFH)in children.Methods:60 children with SFH in the hospital were selected from January 2020 to December 2023 as the research subjects, and were divided into percutaneous Kirschner wire group(n=42)and mini-plate group(n=18)by means of the block randomization method. Both groups received open reduction, and the percutaneous Kirschner wire group was treated with percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation, while the mini-plate group adopted mini-plate therapy. The efficacy, surgical conditions,FLACC 1st day,2nd day,4th day and 7th day after surgery, elbow joint activity and occurrence of postoperative complications before and after treatment were compared between groups. Results:After surgical treatment, the total efficacy rate in percutaneous Kirschner wire group was better than that in percutaneous Kirschner wire group(χ2=4.268,P<0.05).The operation time, incision length, intraoperative blood loss and operation cost of the Pikex needle group were all less than those of the microplate group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=2.946,3.234,12.638,10.107;P<0.05).1st,2nd,4th and 7th days after the operation, the FLACC scores of the elbow joint in the Pique needle group were lower than those in the microplate group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=2.227,2.499,2.334,7.784;P<0.05).After treatment, the increase or decrease in the Pique's needle group was more obvious than that in the micro-plate group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=7.961,27.218,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total complication incidence rate between the two groups of children(P>0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of reduction fixation with percutaneous Kirschner wire for SFH in children is more ideal than that of mini-plate.The former one has the advantages of smaller surgical trauma, more convenience and higher surgical safety, and it is helpful for the recovery of elbow joint mobility.
