Abstract:Objective:To investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum levels of thyroglobulin antibody(TG-Ab),free triiodothyronine(FT3)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)in patients with thyroid cancer. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted, involving 90 thyroid cancer patients admitted to Zhengzhou Third People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023,who were included in the cancer group.Based on a 1:1 matching principle,90 patients with benign thyroid lesions admitted during the same period were included in the benign group. The levels of serum TG-Ab,FT3 and MMP-9 were compared between the two groups and their diagnostic values were analyzed. The levels of various serum indicators were also compared among patients with different clinical prognoses upon admission, and their correlation was analyzed. Results:Compared with the benign group, the canceration group had higher levels of serum TG-Ab and MMP-9 and lower levels of serum FT3 at admission, with statistically significant differences(t=39.967,5.639,39.524;P<0.001).The levels of TG-Ab and MMP-9 of patients with anplastic thyroid cancer were higher than patients with thyroid fo llicular carcinoma and thyroid papillary carcinoma, and the difference was statistically significant(F=105.776,29.371;P<0.05).The levels of serum TG-Ab and MMP-9 in patients with undifferentiated thyroid cancer were higher than those in patients with follicular thyroid cancer and papillary thyroid cancer, with statistically significant differences(t=22.344,4.141,5.490;P<0.001).Compared with patients without lymph node metastasis, patients with lymph node metastasis had a higher serum TG-Ab level and a lower serum FT3 level, and the difference was statistically significant(t=8.372,4.729;P<0.001).The area under the curve(AUC)for the combined diagnosis of thyroid cancer using serum TG-Ab,FT3,and MMP-9 levels at admission was 0.922.Compared with patients with good prognosis, patients with poor prognosis had higher levels of serum TG-Ab and MMP-9 and lower levels of serum FT3 at admission, with statistically significant differences(t=10.736,2.622,3.929;P<0.05).Serum TG-Ab and MMP-9 were positively correlated with patient prognosis, while serum FT3 was negatively correlated with patient prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:The levels of TG-Ab,FT3 and MMP-9 are significantly expressed in the serum of patients with thyroid cancer, and are related to the prognosis of patients. They have high clinical application value.Early treatment measures can effectively prevent the deterioration of the disease.
