Application of Integrated In-Hospital and Out-of-Hospital Jaundice Monitoring Network System in Neonatal Jaundice

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effectiveness and efficiency of an integrated in-hospital and out-of-hospital jaundice monitoring network system in the management of neonatal jaundice.Methods:A total of 114 neonates with jaundice admitted to the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from June 2023 to June 2023 were enrolled in this study.Through a random number table method,the neonates were divided into a control group(n=57,receiving routine monitoring)and an observation group(n=57,receiving the integrated jaundice monitoring network system).The jaundice index at 1 d,2 d,3 d,6 d,10 d and 14 d after birth,as well as bilirubin levels at 1 d,2 d and 3 d after birth,and management outcomes(neonatal jaundice follow-up rate,incidence of severe hyperbilirubinemia and hospitalization rate)were compared between the two groups.Results:The jaundice index of 2 d,3 d,6 d,10 d and 14 d in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(t=2.805,5.046,6.875,10.920,17.933;P＜0.001).The bilirubin levels from 1 d to 3 d showed a decreasing trend,with levels in the observation group significantly lower than those in the control group(t=3.077,3.455,2.415;P＜0.05).The neonatal jaundice follow-up rate in the observation group far exceeded that of the control group,and the incidence of severe hyperbilirubinemia and hospitalization rate were significantly lower than those in the control group(χ2=5.116,4.840,4.734;P＜0.05).Conclusion:The integrated in-hospital and out-of-hospital jaundice monitoring network system significantly optimized the management of neonatal jaundice,effectively reduced bilirubin levels,improved follow-up rates,and significantly reduced the incidence of severe hyperbilirubinemia and hospitalization rates.
