Abstract:Objective:To explore the expression level of intercellular adhesion molecule-5(ICAM-5s)in vascular cognitive impairment(VCI)and its correlation with disease.Methods:Real-time quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR)was used to detect the expression of ICAM-5s in serum samples from 60 patients with VCI and 60 patients without cognitive impairment admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 of ICAM-5s expression in serum samples were analyzed.Serum IL-6 levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Pearson analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum ICAM-5s and IL-6 expression in patients with VCI.Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was drawn to evaluate the value of ICAM-5s separately and ICAM-5s combined with IL-6 in the early diagnosis of VCI.Results:The level of ICAM-5s and serum IL-6 in observation group was all higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=11.220,11.600;P<0.05).The relative expression of ICAM-5s in VCI patients was positively correlated with IL-6 levels(r=0.956,P=0.001).ROC results showed that ICAM-5s had a high diagnostic accuracy, with area under curve(AUC)of 0.919,sensitivity of 67.60%and specificity of 100.00%.ICAM-5s combined with IL-6 significantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of VCI.Conclusion:The expression level of ICAM-5s is increased in patients with VCI.In addition,ICAM-5s was positively correlated with IL-6 expression, and the combined diagnosis of both can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of VCI.
