Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of different scalp cold treatments on preventing hair loss caused by chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer.Methods:90 cases of breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy with AC regimen(pirarubicin+cyclophosphamide)in a third-class hospital Luoyang from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into continuous cold therapy group, intermittent cold therapy and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The degree of hair loss and chemotherapy-induced hair loss distress of the three groups after 4 chemotherapy courses were compared,as well as the tolerance of scalp cold therapy and the occurrence of adverse reactions of 2 cold therapy groups. Results:A total of 87 patients completed the intervention, and there was no statistically significant difference in the general data of three group(P>0.05).After intervention, all three groups of patients had hair loss to varying degrees. The preventive effects of hair loss in the continuous cold therapy group and the intermittent cold therapy group were both better than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.407,P<0.05).After intervention, the comparison of the scores of each dimension of CADS and the total score among the three groups showed that the scores of patients in the continuous cold therapy group and the intermittent cold therapy group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(F=7.051,5.596,3.652,3.602,7.966;P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the intermittent cold therapy group was lower than that in the continuous cold therapy group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.327,P<0.05).The tolerance score of scalp cold therapy in the intermittent cold therapy group was higher than that in the continuous cold therapy group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=-3.545,P<0.05).Conclusion:Continuous scalp cold treatment or intermittent scalp cold treatment can prevent chemotherapy alopecia in patients with breast cancer during chemotherapy, and can reduce the difficulty of chemotherapy alopecia.Intermittent scalp cold treatment has fewer adverse reactions, and is more easily tolerated by patients.
