Analysis of the Value of Serum SOX9 Combined with CA724 and CA19-9 Levels in the Diagnosis of Gastric Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the value of serum sex-determining region Y framing protein 9(SOX9)combined with glycan antigen(CA724),and cancer antigen 19-9(CA19-9)levels in the diagnosis of gastric cancer.Methods:90 patients who were diagnosed as gastric cancer by surgical pathological examination admitted in Kaifeng 155 Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study group,and 90 healthy medical checkups during the same period were selected as the control group.SOX9,CA724 and CA19-9 levels of the patients in the two groups were compared to determine the SOX9,CA724,CA19-9 levels and the value of the combination of the three in the diagnosis of gastric cancer by plotting the working characteristics of the subjects(ROC)curves.The relationship between SOX9 levels and pathological features was analyzed.Results:The levels of SOX9,CA724 and CA19-9 in the study group were all higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.571,4.801,6.243;P＜0.05).ROC curve analysis revealed that the AUC values of SOX9,CA724,CA19-9 and the combined diagnosis of gastric cancer by the three were 0.783,0.708,0.757 and 0.866,respectively.Serum SOX9 levels were not related to gender,age,or Lauren classification,and the differences were not statistically significant(t=0.491,0.068,0;P＞0.05).However,the differences were statistically significant in the degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,clinical stage,and degree of invasion(t=8.444,7.367,7.499,7.521;P＜0.05).The level of serum SOX9 was positively correlated with the degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,clinical stage and invasion degree(r=0.669,0.618,0.625,0.634;P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combined levels of serum SOX9,CA724 and CA19-9 have a high diagnostic value for patients with gastric cancer.Moreover,the level of SOX9 is correlated with the clinicopathological characteristics,such as the degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,clinical stage and invasion degree of patients with gastric cancer,which can provide effective reference for the clinical diagnosis of gastric cancer.
