Application Study of Pedicle Orbital Fat Flap Internal Fixation in the Correction of Lacrimal Groove Type Eye Bags/

Abstract：Objective:To observe the application effect of pedicle orbital fat flap internal fixation in the correction of tear groove type eye bags.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 85 patients with tear groove type eye bags admitted in the hospital from October 2021 to November 2023.Based on the principles of randomization and control,the enrolled patients were divided into the conventional group(42 cases)and the experimental group(43 cases)through using computer grouping method.Both groups received eye bag correction surgery,while the experimental group received auxiliary treatment with pedicle orbital fat flap internal fixation.The treatment and rehabilitation status,improvement of surgical related indicators,treatment effect,and treatment satisfaction of the two groups were compared.Results:After the operation,the scores of surgical indicators,such as eye bag protrusion,tear troughs,lower eyelid relaxation,and pigmentation of the patients in the experimental group were all lower than those in the conventional group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=5.535,9.185,6.998,9.309;P＜0.001).The effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 93.02％,which was higher than 76.19％in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=10.873,P＜0.05).The treatment satisfaction rate of patients in the experimental group was 90.70％,which was higher than 71.43％in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=12.096,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Pedicled orbital fat flap internal fixation assisted with eye bag correction surgery can effectively improve eye bag swelling,tear groove,lower eyelid laxity,and pigmentation without affecting the surgical treatment and rehabilitation of patients with tear groove type eye bags.It has positive significance in enhancing patient treatment effectiveness and improving treatment satisfaction.
