Observation on the Improvemnt Effect of Foot Bath Combined with Acupoint Application on Vertigo Symptoms in Vertigo Patients

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of foot bath combined with acupoint application on vertigo symptoms in vertigo patients.Methods:A total of 118 patients with hypertension vertigo admitted to the hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were divided into two groups,with 59 cases in each group by random number table method.The control group was treated with routine nursing,and the observation group was treated with Chinese medicine foot bath combined with acupoint application.Both groups received continuous nursing for 4 weeks.The severity of vertigo,comfort,daily living ability,quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:After the nursing care,the score of the Vertigo Disorder Questionnaire(DHI)in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=1 1.942,13.637,22.055;P＜0.001).After the nursing care,the Kolcaba Comfort Status Scale(GCQ)and Barthel Index(BI)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=9.600,10.620;P＜0.001).After the nursing care,the scores of each dimension of the Short Form 36 Health Survey(SF-36)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=8.452,5.018,4.097,4.040,8.345,7.284,6.627,9.503;P＜0.001).The nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.913,P＜0.001).Conclusion:The application of TCM foot bath combined with acupoint application can effectively improve vertigo symptoms,improve patients'comfort,daily living ability and quality of life,and obtain patients'satisfaction.
