Clinical Value of CLIA,ELISA and TPPA in Detecting Specific Antibodies to Treponema Pallidum
Wang Yufeng
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical value of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),chemiluminescence assay(CLIA)and spiral particle agglutination test(TPPA)in detecting the specific antibodies to spirochaeta pallidum(TP).Methods:1 086 serum samples of syphilis were selected from January 2020 to June 2023 in Zhengzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital.CLIA,ELISA,TPPA and recombinant Immunoblot(RIBA)were used to detect syphilis.RIBA results were used as the standard. The clinical value of detecting TP-specific antibodies by CLIA,ELISA and TPPA respectively.Results:41(3.78%)of 1 086 serum samples were positive by RIBA test. The specificity, positive predictive value and accuracy of CLIA detection of TP-specific antibody were higher than those of ELISA and TPPA detection, with statistically significant differences(χ2=41.537,7.085,42.340,P<0.05).There were no statistical differences in the sensitivity and negative predictive value of three detection methods for TP-specific antibody detection(χ2=1.638,1.667;P>0.05).The results of TP-specific antibody detected by LISA and TPPA were in good agreement with those of RIBA(Kappa=0.615,0.735;P<0.001).The results of CLIA detection of TP-specific antibody were in good agreement with those of RIBA(Kappa=0.987,P<0.001).Conclusion:CLIA,ELISA and TPPA are effective methods for the detection of TP-specific antibodies, and CLIA is more accurate.
