Abstract:Objective:To analyze the clinical distribution and drug sensitivity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from a hospital,so as to guide rational drug use and control the infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods:The clinical distribution and in vitro drug sensitivity test of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from clinical samples from 2016 to 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. Results:A total of 17 827 pathogenic bacteria were isolated from the clinical submitted samples, among which 1 923 were PA,accounting for 10.8%.The specimens mainly originated from phlegm, accounting for 81.8%.The age of the patients was mainly over 70 years old, accounting for 73.0%.The distribution of the main source departments was as follows:Department of Respiratory Medicine and its Intensive care Unit accounted for 26.2%,Department of Geriatrics accounted for 15.5%,and Department of Critical Care Medicine accounted for 12.5%.The resistance rate to piperacillin/tazobactam decreased from 14.3%to 1.6%.The resistance rates to tobramycin, gentamicin and cefepime partially decreased, while the resistance rates to meropenem and imipenem increased from 18.4%and 25.7%to 28.0%and 30.9%respectively.Conclusion:Pseudomonas aeruginosa is mainly isolated from the sputum samples of the patients over 70 years old in Department of Respiratory Diseases,Department of Geriatrics and Department of Critical Intensive-Care Unit. The detection rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is relatively stable, ranked third among all strains detected. The resistance rates to Meropenem and imine Penan are higher than those reported by the China bacterial resistance surveillance network at the same time.It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of drug sensitivity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in vitro to guide clinical rational drug use.
