Analysis of the Influencing Factors of Hypothermia During Total Hip Replacement Surgery

Abstract：Objective:To explore influencing risk factors for intraoperative hypothermia in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty(THA).Methods:94 patients who underwent THA surgery in the hospital from January 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the research subjects.Patient data were collected and statistically analyzed through shoptial electronic medical record system,the occurrence of hypothermia during THA surgery was recorded,and the relevant influencing factors were analyzed.Results:Among the 94 THA patients,36 cases(38.30%)experienced hypothermia during surgery,while 58 cases(61.70%)did not experience hypothermia.There were statistically significant differences in the comparisons of age,intraoperative blood loss,operation time,operating room temperature,intraoperative infusion volume and intraoperative irrigation fluid volume between the two groups of patients(χ2=4.035,7.011,8.922,10.865,10.561,9.911;P＜0.05).Age≥60 years old,intraoperative blood loss≥150 mL,operation time≥120 min,operating room temperature＜24℃,intraoperative infusion volume≥1 000 mL,and intraoperative irrigation fluid volume＞3 000 mL were high-risk factors for intraoperative hypothermia in THA patients,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty(THA)are prone to hypothermia during the operation.Intraoperative blood loss≥150 mL,age≥60 years old,operation time≥120 min,operating room temperature＜24℃,intraoperative infusion volume≥1 000 mL,and intraoperative irrigation fluid volume＞3 000 mL are independent risk factors for hypothermia during the operation in THA patients.Taking the above factors as the entry point to formulate prevention and treatment countermeasures is helpful to reduce or prevent the occurrence of hypothermia in patients.
