Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and adverse effects of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy(IMRT)treatment with cisplatin and docetaxel in patients with locally advanced NPC.Methods:50 patients with locally advanced NPC from January 2018 to January 2019 were selected for investigation. They were divided into two groups, with 25 cases each using a random number table method, including cisplatin+IMRT group(DDP group,25 cases)and docetaxel+IMRT group(DXT group,25 cases). The treatment effects, adverse effects and quality of life between the two groups were compared. Results:The follow-up results of the two groups showed that the comparison of the probability of no recurrence in the local area, the probability of no distant metastasis, the overall survival probability and the overall survival probability within 3 years and 5 years was slightly higher in the DTX group, with no statistically significant difference(χ2=0.355,0.758,0.136,0.439,0.222,1.495;P>0.05).There was no statistically significant differences in adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.117,0.117,0.136;P>0.05).After treatment, the quality of life scores of both groups improved and were higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(t=11.808,12.609;P<0.001).Conclusion:In the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the therapeutic effects obtained by choosing docetaxel+intensity-modulated radiotherapy regimens or cisplatin+intensity-modulated radiotherapy regimens are comparable. There is no significant difference in adverse reactions.Clinically,a reasonable choice needs to be made based on the actual situation of the patient.
