Abstract:Objective:To explore the changes in the levels of serum tumor markers CA125,CA19-9 and CEA after curative surgery for colorectal cancer, and to analyze their correlation with the long-term prognosis of patients. This will provide more precise post-operative monitoring and personalized follow-up strategies for patients with colorectal cancer. Methods:This retrospective analysis included 108 patients who underwent curative colorectal cancer surgery in the hospital from January 2019 to June 2023.The patients were followed up for 6 months.Through surgical pathology or histological examination,77 patients without metastasis or recurrence were classified into the good prognosis group, while 31 patients with metastasis or recurrence were classified into the poor prognosis group. The levels of CA125,CA19-9 and CEA were compared between the two groups, and their correlation with the prognosis of patients undergoing colorectal cancer curative surgery was assessed through Spearson analysis. Results:The levels of CA125,CA19-9 and CEA were significantly lower in the good prognosis group compared to the poor prognosis group(t=6.127,9.034,15.634;P<0.05).Results of Spearson analysis indicated a positive correlation between the levels of CA125,CA19-9 and CEA and poor prognosis. Conclusion:There is significant correlation between the levels of CA125,CA19-9 and CEA after curative surgery for colorectal cancer and the prognosis.Higher levels of CA125,CA19-9 and CEA are positively correlated with poor prognosis, indicating that these markers can serve as important biological indicators for assessing the prognosis after colorectal cancer surgery.
