Influence of the Combination of Biofeedback Electrical Stimulation Therapy and Acupoint Massage on Pelvic Floor Function and Urine Leakage in Female Patients with Stress Urinary Incontinence

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of biofeedback electrical stimulation and acupoint massage in female patients with stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods:From June 2021 to July 2023,96 female SUI patients admitted to the hospital were taken as the subjects.All cases were divided into two groups,with 48 cases in each group by random number table.Both groups received routine pelvic floor rehabilitation training.The control group underwent biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy,and the observation group was treated with acupoint massage on the basis of the control group.The intervention lasted for 4 weeks in both groups.Pelvic floor function,pelvic floor muscle strength,urinary leakage quality of life and between two groups were compared.Results:Compared with the control group after intervention,the observation group had higher levels of vaginal contraction duration,vaginal resting pressure(VRP),and vaginal systolic pressure(VSP),and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.520,4.013,7.015;P＜0.05).Compared with the control group after intervention,the observation group had better pelvic floor muscle strength levels,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=3.348,P＜0.05).Compared with the control group after intervention,the observation group had a lower ICI-Q-LF score,and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.448,P＜0.05).Compared with the control group after intervention,the observation group had higher scores in all dimensions of I-QOL,and the differences were statistically significant(t=5.493,6.541,4.474;P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combination of biofeedback electrical stimulation and acupoint massage is effective for female SUI patients,which is beneficial to strengthen the pelvic floor muscle strength,improve the pelvic floor function,reduce the urine leakage,and enhance the quality of life.
