Clinical Effect of Wenyang Tongdu Acupuncture Therapy Combined with Juanbi Decoction in Treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy with Wind Cold Dampness Type

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Wenyang Tongdu acupuncture therapy combined with Juanbi decoction in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR)with wind cold dampness type.Methods:60 patients with CSR and wind cold dampness type who admitted to the hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected in this study.They were randomly divided into study group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional treatment,and the study group was treated with Wenyang Tongdu acupuncture therapy combined with Juanbi decoction on the basis of conventional treatment.Serological indicators,cervical spine function,pain degree,quality of life and clinical efficacy were compared between two groups.Results:After treatment,the levels of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),endothelin-1(ET-1)and substance P(SP)in the study group were significantly decreased and lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant difference(t=14.061,3.739,7.411;P＜0.05).The scores of clinical assessment scale for cervical spondylosis(CASCS)and activity of daily living scale(ADL)in the study group were significantly increased and higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant difference(t=2.208,2.599,14.406;P＜0.05).The McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ)score in the study group was significantly decreased and lower than that of the control group,and the total effective rate was higher than that of the control group(χ2=4.043,P＜0.05).Conclusion:The application of Wenyang Tongdu acupuncture therapy combined with Juanbi decoction in the treatment of patients with CSR and wind cold dampness type can effectively reduce serum inflammatory indicators,improve cervical spine function,and alleviate pain and improve quality of life.It has significant effect.
