Abstract:Objective:To investigate the efficacy of methylprednisolone combined with bromohexine and doxofylline in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and the effects on inflammatory factors. Methods:A total of 88 patients with acute exacerbation COPD admitted to Suzhou Wuzhong People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.Patients treated with bromohexine hydrochloride and doxofylline were defined as the control group, and patients treated with methylprednisolone combined with bromohexine and doxofylline were defined as the treatment group. After 7 days of continuous administration, the clinical efficacy(lung function index, blood gas index),serum inflammatory factors and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(χ2=6.065,P<0.05).After treatment, expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),and volume in the first second(FEV1/FVC level)in both groups were increased, and the treatment group was higher than the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=5.758,3.922,7.751;P<0.05).After treatment, the level of arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the level of arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(t=4.839,10.408;P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α)in treatment group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=6.691,6.602,9.760;P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.124,P>0.05).Conclusion:Methylprednisolone combined with bromohexine hydrochloride and doxofylline has significant clinical efficacy in the treatment of COPD,which can effectively improve lung function and blood gas indexes, and reduce the level of inflammatory factors. The combined drug is safe.
