Clinical Significance of Irregular Antibody Detection Before Transfusion and its Influence on Transfusion Safety and Patient Prognosis

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical significance of irregular antibody detection before transfusion and its influence on transfusion safety and patient prognosis.Methods:A total of 102 patients who received blood transfusion in the hospital from October 2022 to September 2024 were selected as the study objects.Among them,78 transfusion patients with irregular antibody detection before transfusion were included in the observation group,and 24 transfusion patients without irregular antibody detection were included in the control group.The total transfusion response rate of the two groups was compared,and the prognosis of the patients with irregular antibodies detected before transfusion was observed.Results:Before blood transfusion,15 irregular antibody patients were detected,accounting for 19.23%.The blood transfusion history of 78 patients with irregular antibody detection before transfusion was compared,and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.429,P＜0.05).The proportion of anti-E was the highest,followed by anti-LEA.Among the five Rh types of the 15 irregular antibody positive patients,CCDEe accounted for the highest proportion(26.67%),followed by CcDEe,CcDee,ccDEE and ccDEe,accounting for 13.33%.The total incidence of transfusion reaction in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.966,P＜0.05).The 15 patients with irregular antibody detected had good prognosis after adjusting the transfusion regimen,but no bad prognosis.Conclusion:The detection of irregular antibody in patients before transfusion has important clinical application value to ensure the transfusion safety of transfusion patients.The selection of appropriate blood transfusion for patients according to the screening results of irregular antibody detection can significantly reduce the risk of transfusion reaction,ensure the transfusion safety of patients,and improve the prognosis of patients.
