Observation on the Curative Effect of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Sepsis

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine on sepsis.Methods:A prospective study was used to collect relevant clinical data of Sepsis patients from January to December 2020,and the patients were divided into the Western medicine group(n=40)and the integrated Chinese(n=45)and Western medicine group with random number method according to the diagnostic criteria of Sepsis 3.Relevant data were collected at the time of admission and the 1st,3rd,5th and 7th day of admission.Results:Most of the indexes of the two groups were significantly improved on the 7th day after admission.Correlation analysis was performed on statistically significant indicators in univariate analysis the 7th day after admission.The results showed that the sequential organ failure(SOFA)score,acute physiology and chronic health status Ⅱ(APACHE Ⅱ)score,plasma lactate(Lac)of procalcitonin(PCT),and the number of organ damage were negatively correlated(t=-4.919,-5.537,-7.653,-16.212,-5.657;P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine can form complementary advantages in clinical practice,and has certain advantages in the prevention and treatment of sepsis.
