Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics of end-stage renal disease caused by diabetes.Methods:158 patients with end-stage renal disease caused by diabetes and other reasons who were treated in the hospital from March 2020 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects, including 74 patients with diabetes nephropathy in DKD group and 84 patients with end-stage renal disease caused by other reasons in control group.Clinical indicators, such as hypertension, age, renal function and blood lipids of two groups were compared to understand the clinical differences of diseases between the two groups. Results:The age of patients in the DKD group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.906,P<0.01).The blood glucose levels of patients in the DKD group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.961,P<0.01).The serum creatinine, uric acid,albumin,B2-MG and blood phosphorus levels of patients in the DKD group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=-3.744,-2.204,-3.015,-2.551,-3.264;P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the incidence rate of hypertension, male ratio, course of disease, hemoglobin, urea, blood calcium,CRP and blood lipid levels(t=1.614,0.236,-1.474,-0.575,-1.287,1.005,0.385,-0.264,0.031;P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the control group, the age of patients with end-stage renal disease caused by diabetes was higher, the levels of creatinine and uric acid were lower, and the incidence rate of hypertension was high in both groups. This suggests that according to the renal function, patients with diabetes nephropathy need to take renal replacement therapy earlier. Both groups with end-stage renal disease need to take active antihypertensive treatment.
