Effect of Desloratadine Citrate Disodium Tablets on Lung Function and Related Indicators in Patients with Eosinophilic Pneumonia

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the effect of adjunctive treatment with desloratadine citrate disodium tablets on eosinophilic pneumonia(CEP)patients and its impact on disease-related indicators.Methods:Data of 70 patients with CEP admitted to Puyang People's Hospital from February 2019 to November 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the treatment plan,they were divided into the reference group(35 cases were treated with budesonide)and the study group(35 cases were treated with desloratadine citrate tablets based on the reference group).After 2 weeks of treatment,the efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared,as well as the disappearance time of clinical symptoms before and after treatment,lung function[forced vital capacity(FVC),tidal volume(TV),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)],disease-related indicators[erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP),eosinophil count(EOS)].Results:The total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the reference group(χ2=4.590,P<0.05).After treatment,symptoms,such as cough,expectoration,shortness of breath,pulmonary rales and fever disappeared faster in the study group than in the reference group,with statistically significant difference(t=9.899,10.046,4.103,7.361,10.721;P<0.05).After treatment,the increases of FVC,TV,FEV1 and PEF in the study group were higher than those in the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=6.407,3.714,3.346,4.949;P<0.05).After treatment,ESR,PCT,CRP and EOS in the study group were lower than those in the reference group,with statistically significant difference(t=8.330,6.998,10.379,2.673;P<0.05).Conclusion:The adjunctive treatment of CEP with desloratadine citrate disodium tablets is effective.It can reduce inflammatory reactions,improve lung function and clinical symptoms.It is safe and reliable.
