Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effects of ureteroscopy(URS)on the calculus clearance rate and postoperative complications in adult patients with upper ureteral calculi.Methods:56 patients with unilateral upper ureteral calculi diagnosed in Ji'an Central People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected, and divided into adult URS group(n=28)and pediatric URS group(n=28)by random number table method. In the treatment of upper ureteral calculi,URS was used in adult group and URS was used in pediatric group. The operative indexes, clinical efficacy, success rate of one-time operation, stone removal rate and postoperative complication rate of the two groups were recorded. Results:The duration of operation, double J tube indentations and hospitalization in pediatric URS group was shorter than that in adult URS group(t=2.312,4.663,3.725,P<0.05).2 weeks after operation, the clinical therapeutic effect of pediatric URS group was higher than that of adult URS group(χ2=4.383,P<0.05).The success rate of one-off operation and stone removal rate in the pediatric URS groupwere higher than those in the adult URS group(χ2=5.543,4.285;P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the pediatric URS group was lower than that in the adult URS group(χ2=5.250,P<0.05).Conclusion:Pediatric URS has good efficacy in the treatment of adult upper ureteral calculi, which can shorten the time of operation and hospital stay.It has good calculi discharge effect and low complication rate.
