Abstract:Objective:To analyze the correlation between whole blood zinc ions and the severity of RVGE in children. Methods:Retrospective analysis of clinical data from 122 children with diarrhea in Jiaozuo Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to May 2023,summarize the risk factors for the onset of rotavirus gastroenteritis, and analyze the correlation between whole blood zinc ions(Zn+)and the severity of RVGE in children. Results:Finger sucking habit, history of contact with infectious sources,WBC≥ 12×109/L,NE≤50%,Na+>145 mmol/L,K+>5.5mmol/L,CI-<98 mmol/L,Zn+<65 μmol/L were the risk factors of the onset of RVGE.The weight loss rate, frequency of bowel movements, and body temperature of the heavy group were higher than those of the medium and light groups.Zn+in the heavy group was lower than that in the medium and light groups(F=32.13,16.75,39.84,6.41;P<0.05).Zn+was negatively correlated with the degree of dehydration, frequency of bowel movements, and body temperature in children with RVGE(r=-0.152,-0.153,-0.151;P<0.05).Conclusion:To some extent, detection of Zn+can evaluate the condition of the patient and guide clinical treatment.
