Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Open Tympanoplasty Combined with Radical Mastoidectomy on Patients with Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media

Abstract：Objective:To explore the curative effect of open tympanoplasty combined with radical mastoidectomy in the diagnosis of Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media(CSOM).Methods:110 CSOM patients in the hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 55 patients in each group.Patients of the control group received radical mastoidectomy,and patients of the observation group received the combined open tympanoplasty.The efficacy,hearing level,dry ear time,quality of life and serum indexes of the two groups were compared.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.274,P＜0.05).The pure tone gas conduction threshold,bone auditory threshold and gas bone conduction index in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.736,4.494,3.804;P＜0.05).Dry ear time in observation group was shorter than control group,and CSOM-QOL score was higher than control group,with statistically significant difference(t=7.308,6.430;P＜0.05).IL-8,SOD,MDA and Sil-2R in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=10.434,8.023,5.795,19.445;P＜0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.643,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Open tympanoplasty combined with radical mastoidectomy for CSOM cases can achieve better curative effect,significantly improve hearing,shorten dry ear time,improve life quality,and effectively control the risk of complications.
