Application of Adjustable Elastic Ball Training Method Combined with Posture Management in Elderly Patients of Total Hip Replacement

Abstract：Objective:To study the application of adjustable elastic ball training method combined with posture management in elderly patients after total hip replacement(THR).Methods:A total of 60 elderly patients who from underwent THR in the First People's Hospital of Ji'an from September 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into a control group(n=30)and an observation group(n=30)according to the random number table.After operation,the former group was given routine nursing and rehabilitation training,while the latter group was given adjustable elastic ball training combined with posture management on the basis of the former group.Incidence of complications,hip function and activities of daily living before and after intervention,and nursing satisfaction were compared.Results:After 3 months of intervention,the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.043,P＜0.05).After 1 and 3 months of intervention,the pain degree,joint motion,joint function and joint deformity scores of the two groups were significantly increased,and the hip function rating scale(Harris score)of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(t=4.433,5.863;t=3.697,4.027;t=2.287,5.717;t=3.056,4.952;P＜0.05).After 1 and 3 months of intervention,the BI score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(t=8.327,5.679;P＜0.05).The overall satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.320,P＜0.05).Conclusion:The application of adjustable elastic ball training combined with posture management in rehabilitation nursing of elderly patients undergoing THR can significantly reduce the risk of complications,and promote the recovery of hip function and activities of daily living.
