Relationship Between Self-compassion Level,and Social Support and Quality of Life in Patients with Colorectal Cancer During Chemotherapy

Abstract:Objective:To explore the relationship between self-compassion level,social support and quality of life in patients with colorectal cancer during chemotherapy,and to provide basis for clinical nursing.Methods:A total of 160 patients with chemotherapy-induced colorectal cancer from March 2022 to May 2023 in a tertiary hospital in Harbin were selected.General situation questionnaire,social support scale,self-compassion scale and quality of life scale for cancer patients were used.Results:The total scores of self-compassion,social support and quality of life were(78.36±9.62),(37.61±5.60)and(53.96±8.68)respectively.There was positive correlation between self-compassion and social support,between self-compassion and quality of life,and between social support and quality of life.The difference was significant(r=0.486,0.521,0.417;P<0.01).Conclusion:Self-compassion level was positively correlated with social support level and quality of life in patients with colorectal cancer during chemotherapy.Improving the level of self-compassion can improve the quality of life of patients with colorectal cancer during chemotherapy.
