Abstract:Objective:To study the clinical effect of endoscopic photodynamic therapy(PDT)combined with fluorouracil and oxaliplatin in the treatment of advanced cardia fundus cancer. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 82 patients with advanced cardia fundus cancer admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to January 2022.According to the treatment method, they were divided into two groups, with 41 cases in each group. The control group were treated with fluorouracil and combined with oxaliplatin. The observation group were treated with endoscopic PDT on the basis of the control group. The levels of serum tumor markers, therapeutic effects, complications and quality of life scores were analyzed before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the levels of serum matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2),carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t=2.215,2.687,4.337;P<0.05).There was no significant difference of the total effective rate between the two groups(χ2=4.556,P>0.05).There was no significant difference of adverse effect rates between the two groups(χ2=0.082,P>0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group 8 and 12 weeks after treatment were higher than the control group(t=3.464,4.152;P<0.05).Conclusion:Endoscopic PDT combined with fluorouracil can improve the level of serum tumor markers, the therapeutic effect and the quality of life in patients with advanced cardiac fundus cancer, and it is safe.
