Analysis of Related Factors and Nutritional Support Measures for Malnutrition in Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients

Abstract:Objective:To explore the relevant influencing factors of malnutrition in elderly pulmonary tuberculosis patients,and analyze targeted nutritional support measures.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 60 elderly pulmonary tuberculosis patients admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to December 2021.The patient's gender,marital status,education level,occupation,body mass index,smoking history,acid fast staining,disease course,complications and other data were collected with single factor analysis.Logistic regression analysis of related influencing factors malnutrition in elderly pulmonary tuberculosis patients was conducted.Results:BMI,drinking history,course of disease,poor diet habits,per capita monthly family income and complications were associated with malnutrition in elderly patients with tuberculosis,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that BMI<18.5 kg/m2,history of alcohol consumption,course of disease≥1 year,poor diet,per capita monthly family income≤2 000 yuan,and complications were the influencing factors for malnutrition in elderly patients with tuberculosis.Conclusion:BMI<18.5 kg/m2,history of alcohol consumption,a disease course of≥1 year,poor dietary habits,a per capita monthly income of≤2 000 yuan,and complications are the influencing factors of elderly pulmonary tuberculosis patients.Clinical attention should be paid to these factors and effective nutritional support measures should be taken to improve patient's nutritional status.
