Abstract:Objective:To analyze the level of 25 hydroxyvitamin D,the function of residual islet cells and the effect of blood glucose control in children with type 1 diabetes.Methods:40 children with type 1 diabetes admitted to the 83rd Army Hospital of the PLA from January 2015 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and set as the observation group.Another 40 children who received physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group.Serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D levels were detected and compared between the two groups. The serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D level, insulin dose, glycosylated hemoglobin and C-peptide concentration before and after treatment were observed and compared in children with type 1 diabetes. Results:The serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.436 8,P<0.05).After oral administration of vitamin D,the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D and C-peptide in the observation group were significantly higher than those before oral administration(t=8.961 0,12.840 5;P<0.05),and the level of glycated hemoglobin was significantly lower than that before oral administration(t=6.891 7,P<0.05).Conclusion:Children with type 1 diabetes generally show 25 hydroxyvitamin D deficiency.Oral administration of vitamin D can not only significantly improve the function of residual islet cells, but also it can significantly reduce the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, and effectively control blood glucose level.
