Prevalence and Major Causes of Obesity in Children and Adolescents

Abstract：The prevalence of childhood and adolescent obesity varies in different countries,but overall increased sharply in the second half of the 20th century and the early 21st century,after which there was a plateau in the overall prevalence of obesity,but the prevalence of severe obesity continued to rise.The causes of obesity include behavior factors,genetic factors,endocrine causes,hypothalamic causes and metabolic programs.Childhood obesity is strongly influenced by behavior factors.They are the focuses of obesity treatment.
