Abstract:Objective:To explore the current status and analyze the correlation between post-traumatic growth and personal sense of meaning in life in patients with a first diagnosis of lung cancer based on the PERMA framework. Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to select 132 patients admitted to the hospital from January to August 2021 with first diagnosis of lung cancer for the study. The Chinese version of the Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory(C-PTGI)was used to investigate the post-traumatic growth level of lung cancer patients with a first diagnosis of lung cancer, and the Chinese version of the Meaningfulness of Life Scale(C-MLQ)was used to investigate the sense of meaning of life of lung cancer patients with a first diagnosis of lung cancer.Pearson's correlation was used to analyze the level of post-traumatic growth and sense of meaning of life of first diagnosed lung cancer patients. Results:The C-PTGI score of patients with first diagnosis of lung cancer was(54.26±4.11)points,which was intermediate. The C-MLQ score was(42.82±3.92)points.Post-traumatic growth was positively correlated with the sense of meaning in life in patients with first diagnosis of lung cancer, and the difference between the dimension of relationship with others and the dimension of new possibilities and the sense of meaning in life was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of post-traumatic growth and sense of meaning in life were low and positively correlated in patients with a first diagnosis of lung cancer, and clinical staff and caregivers should strengthen the psychological construction of patients.
