Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of fluoroscopic cystoscopic electrical resection of urethral bladder tumors(TURBT)versus partial cystectomy on the outcome and prognosis of elderly patients with superficial bladder cancer(SBC)and the differential expression of prostaglandin E2(PGE2)and substance P in plasma.Methods:120 patients with superficial bladder can-cer admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into obser-vation group and control group using the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with TURBT surgery and the control group underwent conventional partial cystectomy. The differences between the two groups in terms of recurrence rate, survival, immune indexes,PGE2 and substance P levels, and complications were compared.Re-sults:The recurrence rate of superficial bladder cancer within 1 year was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.931,P<0.05).Through one-year follow-up,the overall survival and progression-free survival of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistically signifi-cant differences(t=2.837,3.295,P<0.05).After treatment, patients in the observation group had significantly higher CD3+,CD4+,CD8,and CD4+/CD8+ than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(t=4.501,6.316,6.648,6.012,P<0.05).After treatment, the patients in the observation group had lower PGE2 and higher substance P levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences(t=10.801,5.594,P<0.05).The difference in the incidence of complications during treat-ment between the two groups was not statistically significant(χ2=0.341,1.031,P>0.05).Conclusion:Fluoroscopic cystoscopic TURBT in elderly patients with superficial bladder cancer showed significant improvement in intraplasma PGE2 and substance P.Treatment outcomes as well as prognostic survival were significantly improved.
