Abstract:Objective:To investigate the value of high-risk human papillomavirus(HPV)combined with liquid-based thin-layer cytology testing technology(TCT)in the early screening of cervical lesions in primary care women. Methods:A stratified sampling method was used to select 5160 female cervical exfoliated cell samples from two townships in Boluo County,Huizhou City, from January to June 2021.High-risk HPV-DNA(PCR-fluorescent probe method)and TCT tests were used to screen positive individu-als,followed by colposcopic pathology, and the diagnostic efficacy of both methods in the early screening of cervical lesions was an-alyzed.Results:The positive rate of high-risk HPV screening in the population was 7.27%,of which HPV16 and HPV18 account-ed for 27.2%,and the positive predictive value of both was much higher than the positive predictive value of the other 13 high-risk types. The positive rate of TCT screening was 4.46%,and the positive predictive value was proportional to the degree of cytopathy. The positive predictive value of HPV combined with TCT testing was 98.34%,which was higher than the positive predic-tive value of HPV or TCT alone, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:High-risk HPV combined with TCT can improve the diagnostic efficacy of early screening of cervical lesions in the population, and has important application in the early screening and prevention of cervical lesions in primary women.
