Abstract:Objective:To assess the efficacy of montelukast sodium combined with budesonide nebulized inhalation on commu-nity-acquired pneumonia and airway hyperresponsiveness in children.Methods:102 cases of community-acquired pneumonia ad-mitted to the hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected for the study, and were divided into the experimental group and the conventional group according to the random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with budesonide and the experimental group was treated with montelukast sodium on the basis of the conventional group.Children in both groups were treated continuously for 7 d.Eosinophil cationic protein(ECP)and interleukin-4(IL-4)levels were collected and measured within 24 h(before treatment)and 1 week after treatment, respectively. After 7 d of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment was recorded. Results:The serum ECP and IL-4 levels of children in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(t=5.247,6.741,P<0.05),and the experimental group was lower than the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=6.044,22.808,P<0.05).The total effective rate of the experimental group(94.12%)was higher than that of the conventional group(78.43%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.129,P<0.05).The difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of children was not statistically significant(χ2=2.124,P>0.05).Con-clusion:In the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in children with montelukast sodium combined with budesonide nebu-lized inhalation, the effect is more obvious, significantly improve the symptoms of the children,at the same time,it can effectively alleviate the hyperresponsiveness of the children's airway, promote the rapid recovery of the children, and it is safe and reliable.
