Clinical Efficacy of One-Stage Suture in the Treatment of Dog Bite in Oral and Maxillofacial Region

Abstract:Objective To compare and analyze the curative effect of one-stage suture and delayed suture in patients with dog bite in oral and maxillofacial region.Methods 42 patients with dog bite in oral and maxillofacial region were randomly divided into controlgroup and observation group. The control group were given delayed suture and the observation group were given one-stage suture.Results The incidence of wound infection in the observation group (4.76%) was lower than that in the control group (33.33%), P<0.05. The best rate of wound healing in the observation group (80.95%) was higher than that in the control group (52.38%). The primary suture of dog bite can not only reduce the incidence of postoperative infection, but also ensure the effect of facial scar repair.
