Experience of Making Cell Block of Bloody Pleural Effusion

Abstract：Objective To investigate the bloody pleural effusion cell block effect.Method Selecting fresh bloody pleural effusion within 2 hours of 20 cases from 2013 to 2015,comparison the number of cells wax block of three types time of 95% ethanol-fixed by SPSS17-0,x2 test and Hematoxylin Eosin staining.Results The slice is complete,clear cell structure and clean background.Three different time results are not statistically significant,but 95% ethanol-fixed with 4 hours is the best and get more cells.Conclusion The methods of 95% ethanol-fixed time with 4 hours is the best and can apply to make the cell block.
