Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of irbesartan combined with amlodipine in treatment of elderly hypertensive pa -tients with type 2 diabetes. Methods A total of 92 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes who were diagnosed with hypertension in the hospital from January, 2012 to January, 2016 were selected. There were 31 cases in control group A , and they separately used amlodipine maleate . There were 31 cases in control group B , and they separately used irbesartan .There were 30 patients in the observation group , and they used irbesartan and ammonia chlorine horizon. After 10 weeks, the total effective rate, blood pressure, blood lipid level and incidence of side effects were compared among three groups after 1 courses of treatment. Results After treatment, the total efficiency in observation group is higher than that of the control group A and B (P<0.05).In the observation group, lower blood pressure (systolic blood pressure and dias-tolic blood pressure ) is better than that of the control group A and B ( P<0.01 ) .Fall blood fats curative effect in observation group is obviously superior to the control group A and B (P<0.01).In the treatment process, vice reaction rate is low. Conclusion Clinical cur-ative effect of irbesartan combined with amlodipine in the treatment of elderly hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes is good , with low danger coefficient .So it is worthy of clinical application .
