Mortality Analysis of Accidental Injury of Patients in the First Hospital Affiliated of Xinjiang Medical University During 2010 and ;2014

Abstract:Objecit ev To explore the mortality, distribution and the change trend of accident injury, to provide the scientific basis for the formulation of effective intervention measures.Methods A retrospective survey was conducted on data medical records accident death of patients in the hospital from 2010 to 2014.Using the international classification of ICD-10 code and inputting data into Excel and SPSS19.0 for statistical analysis.Results In the recent 5 years, there were in total 251 cases of accidental injury.Fatality rate was 1.43%, taking the fifth position among all causes of death (6.05%).There was more male than female in accident victims, 200 cases of male and 51 female.The male to female ratio was 3.92∶1.The main cause of death were different in different age, the falling and burns were the main cause of death in 0~14 years, while the 15~34 years and 35~59 years were mainly died on traffic accidents and the falling, and the falling was the main cause of death among these above 60 years.The whole accident patients increased in recent 5 years, while the mortality of accident injury decreased.The falling, traffic accident, burn, being killed and poisoning were the first 5 reasons of accidental death.Conclusion Accident is the social security and public health problem, according to the epidemiological characteristics.Some measures must be taken for readjustments, in order to reduce the incidence and mortality of accidental injury.
