Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application of Ex-PRESS drainage device for the treatment of primary open-angle glau-coma.Methods 40casesdiagnosedopen-angleglaucomawereselectedastheresearchobjects.ResultsPatientsoftwogroupssuc-cessfully completed surgery.Surgery time and hospital stay in patients with treatment group was obviously shorter than the control group. The difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05);complication rate of the treatment group was lower than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the condition of the control group and treatment group 3 months after intraocular pres-sure control and vision was better than control group.Drug use rate of treatment group was obviously lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The Ex-PRESS drainage device implantation in the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma has high success rate, with shorter operation time and shorter hospitalization time and less postoperative complica-tions.The method could use less glaucoma medications, and have high safety and better intraocular pressure control, therefore it has high clinical application and popularization value.
