Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of Metformin and Vildagliptin Treatment of Obese Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract：Objective To observe the curative effect of metformin with vildagliptin treatment of obese type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 108 cases of type 2 diabetic patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 54 cases in each group.All patients were performed routine adjuvant therapy, the control group was given metformin and pioglitazone, and the treatment group was given metformin and vildagliptin.The biochemical index level of two groups before and after treatment was detected.And the therapeutic effect and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Results After 24 weeks treatment, FBG,BMI,2hPBG,GSP and HbAlc levels of two groups decreased, and the treatment group decreased more significantly (P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the TC, TG and LDL-C level of the treatment group significantly decreased, and HDL-C and GLP-1 increased significantly (P<0.05); The total effective rate of treatment group was 98.15%(53/54), which was significantly higher than 85.19%(46/54) of the control group (P<0.05).During the treatment, the patients had no obvious adverse reaction in both groups.Conclusion The curative effect of metformin and vildagliptin in the treatment of obese type 2 diabetes is better than the combined pioglitazone, which can increase GLP-1 release and play a more stable blood glucose control effect.
