VEGF/BMP Composite Nano Artificial Application in PVP
Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application value and safety of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) , bone morphogenetic protein ( BMP) composite nano artificial materials for percutaneous vertebroplasty ( PVP) surgery treatment. Methods 96 cases of verte-bral compression fractures from January, 2012 to December, 2013 were selected for the study according to the time of admission. The first 48 cases were included in the control group, and conventional PVP routine surgery intraoperative were injected nano-calcium phosphate ce-ment.The later 48 cases were included in the study group.Conventional PVP routine surgery intraoperative were injected VEGF, BMP and nano-calcium phosphate cement composites. The proportion was 25 mg:25 mg:1000 mg.Results The difference of preoperative pain scores and dysfunction score was not statistically significant ( P>0.05);after treatment, scores of the study group were significantly lower than the control group, indicating that the study group patients relieve pain and restore function was better, and difference was statistically significant ( P<0.01).There was no significant difference between BP and SPO2 levels before the artificial injection, injection time points during the end of surgery of two groups ( P>0.05 ).Reset rate and vertebral kyphosis correction rate postoperative of the patients in the study group was slightly higher than the control group, but data difference between the two groups was not statistically significant ( P>0.05).Conclusion VEGF, BMP composite nano calcium phosphate cement applied to the treatment of vertebral compression fractures PVP can improve the efficacy and prognosis, and has security. Its mechanism of VEGF and BMP angiogenic growth and bone formation are closely related.
