Evaluation of Treatment Effect of High-frequency Oscillatory Ventilation for Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (NRDS)
Abstract:Objective To investigate the treatment effect of high frequency oscillation ventilation ( HFOV) for neonatal respiratory dis-tresssyndrome(NRDS).Methods 80neonateswithNRDSwereselectedfromthehospitalfromApril,2012toMay,2014,andwere assigned to the observation group and the control group randomly .The observation group were treated with HFOV while the control group were treated with conventional mechanical ventilation ( CMV ) .The treatment effect and complication were compared between the two groups. Results The value of FiO2 , MAP and OI of observation group after 24 hours mechanical ventilation were all lower than those of control group , while the value of PCO 2 of observation group was higher than that of control group , with statistical significance ( P<0.05 ) . The duration of oxygen uptake , mechanical ventilation and hospitalization of observation group were shorter than those of control group ( P<0.05).The complication incidence of observation group and control group were 2.50%and 20.00%, respectively. The complication in-cidence of observation group was apparently lower than that of control group (P<0.05).Conclusion HFOV in treatment of NRDS can im-prove the ventilation of neonates , shorten the duration of mechanical ventilation and reduce the complication incidence , which has a signifi-cant clinical treatment effect .
