Analysis of 200 Children with Short Stature Etiology

Abstract：Objective To analyze the relationship of etiology and treatment and age of children with short stature .Methods Collec-ting clinical data of 200 children with short stature in outpatient department of pediatrics from March , 2012 to February, 2014 in the hospi-tal, analyzing general clinical data , and analyzing the relationship of etiology of short stature children with age .Results Microsomia chil-dren common disease was caused by the growth hormone deficiency , growth hormone neurosecretory disorder , hypothyroidism , intrauterine growth retardation , idiopathic short stature , precocious puberty , the lack of nutrition.More than 7 years old children with growth hormone deficiency , growth hormone neurosecretory disorder , idiopathic short stature and precocious puberty incidence were significantly higher than those in less than 7 years old children, with statistical significance(P<0.05);the incidence of children younger than 7 years old, lack of nutrition, Tumer syndrome and trisomy 21-syndrome were significantly higher than older than 7 years old, with statistical significance ( P<0.05).Conclusion The causes of etiology of children with short stature in clinic were a lot ,with growth hormone deficiency , growth hormone neurosecretory disorder , hypothyroidism , intrauterine growth retardation , idiopathic short stature , precocious puberty , the lack of nutrition etc commonly ,and clinical early diagnosis and intervention can promote the growth of children and improve the prognosis .
