Relationship Between MCP-1 Lveel and Carotid Atherosclerosis
Abstract:Objective To investigate the relation between serum MCP-1 level and the pathologic process of carotid atherosclerosis. Methods 46patientswithcarotidatherosclerosisweredividedinto2groupsincludingthickenedandformedplaqueendarterium,and35 healthy adults were regarded as the control group, all patients were carried out by High-frequency Color Doppler.Resulst Serum level of MCP-1 in formed plaque endarterium patients was statistically higher than that in healthy controls (P<0.05).Conclusion Serum MCP-1 might be involved in the pathogenesis of carotid atherosclerosis and would be a prevention or therapy target in the development of carotid atherosclerosis.
