Clinicopathologic Analysis of Immature Teratoma of the Ovary in 46 Cases
Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinicopathologic features of immature teratoma of the ovary .Methods The clinical data of 46 patients with immature teratoma of the ovary in The Centre Hospital of Jiangmen were retrospectively analyzed .Results Patients from 2 months to 41 years old,and the age between 16 and 25 accounted for 65.2%.Clinically, the patients expressed abdominal pain , abdominal distension and bag piece , accounted for 71.7%.Some patients may have no obvious symptoms .Clinically, the most patients were at stageⅠ, accounting for 76.1%.Conclusion Immature teratoma of the ovary is rare relatively .Patients in the majority are young women .Final diagnosis depends on pathomorphology and immunohistochemistry .The most pathological classification is simple immature teratoma . Patholoical classification and clinical stage are important for treatment and prognosis .
