Comparative Study of Ultrasound and CT in Diagnosis of Low Echo Fatty Liver Lesions
LUO Xian-cai
Abstract:Objective To compare and analyze the diagnosis accuracy by ultrasound and CT in diagnosis of fatty liver low echo le -sions.Methods Collecting 65 patients with low echo fatty liver lesions in the hospital from Jun , 2011 to Oct, 2013.At the same time, they were examined by CT , and it is based on pathology and follow -up after operation , the diagnosis accuracy and misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis of middle and low echo fatty liver two methods were compared. Results The diagnosis detecting rate of normal liver , nodular hy-perplasia , metastasis liver cancer by CT ( P<0.05 ) was higher than ultrasound , but there was no significant difference in the detecting rate of primary hepatic carcinoma and atypical hemangioma ( P<0.05 ).There was no significant difference in the detecting rate of normal liver , nodular hyperplasia , primary liver cancer , metastasis liver cancer and atypical hemangioma by CT and pathology or follow -up after operation. But the atypical hemangioma detecting rate was significantly lower than that by pathology or follow -up after operation. The diag-nosis accurate rate of middle and low echo nodular by CT examination was significantly higher than that by ultrasound .Conclusion To mid-dle and low echo fatty liver lesions , ultrasound united with CT examination can improve diagnostic accuracy. While ultrasonography exami-nation show low lesions in fatty liver , CT examination is needed to confirm diagnosis , and reduce misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis , so as to do early detection and early treatment , and to improve the patients′prognosis.
