Expression and Significance of Farnesoid X Receptor and Leptin in Cholangiocarcinoma
Abstract：Objective To study the expression and role of FXR and Lep in Cholangiocarcinoma and the relationship between them.Methods The expressions of FXR and Lep were determined by immunohistochemistry in cholangiocarcinoma tissues , normal bile duct tissues tumor and adjacent histologically noncancerous bile duct tissues .And the differences of the two groups were compared.Results The expressions of FXR in normal bile duct tissues tumor and adjacent histologically noncancerous bile duct tissues were higher than in cholangiocarcinoma tissues ( P<0.05 ).The expressions of Lep in normal bile duct tissues tumor and adjacent histologically noncancerous bile duct tissues were lower than in cholangiocarcinoma tissues ( P<0.05 ).The expressions of FXR and Lep were not significantly different in carcinomas and paracancerous tissues of the bile duct.There was correlation between FXR and Lep , r=0.627 7 ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion FXR and lep were mostly likely involved in the development and progression of cholangiocarcinoma by adjusting lipid metabolism and im -mune response mechanism.
