Effect of Xuebijing on the Secretion of Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor in Septic Rats

Abstract：Ob jective To explore the Xuebijing influence on serum MIF expression of septic rats and prevention and cure function on acute kidney injury.Methods Sepsis model was duplicated by cecum ligation perforation ( CLP).A total of sixty male Spargue -Dawley rats were divided by random number table method into two groups:the control group and the Xuebijing group.MIF mRNA and protein ex-pressions in renal tissues of septic mice were assessed by reverse transcription -polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) and Western blot-ting.Biochemical method was used to detect serum creatinine levels.Results, through using SPSS16.0 statistical software , did statistical a-nalysis.Results Compared with control group , both the content of MIF in serum and the expressions of MIFmRNA in renal tissues of Xue-bijing group came to descend obviously at 24 and 48 hours ( P <0.01 ); Scr level of Xuebijing group came to descend obviously ( P<0.01 ).Conclusion Xuebijing reduces the level of the kidney MIF gene and protein expression level , and it has an effectation on pre-venting and protecting acute kidney injury.
