Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of probiotics on immune function of cirrhosis patients and toxin level and cell factorin serum. Methods 36 cases with cirrhosis were regarded as subjects, conventional drugs and probiotics administration lasted for fourweeks were given, and the use of flow cytometry in patients before and after treatment was detected,to observe patients′peripheral T totalnumber of cells,as well as subsets of the level of natural killer cells.Azo chromogenic substrate method and enzyme -linked immunosorbentassay in combination with measurement of serum cytokine was used to detect cell factor in patients′serum: interleukin (i.e.,IL) -1β,IL -10,TNF levels in the plasma and toxins. Results T cells of patients with cirrhosis of peripheral (i.e.,CD3) and total CD4 (P <0.05) were measured significantly lower than normal levels. The use of probiotics after treatment, patients and subsets in vivo CD3 CD4levels were significantly increased (P <0.05); and serum IL -1β,IL -10,TNF levels were significantly improved (P <0.05).Conclusion Probiotics on immune dysfunction in patients with improvement was effective, safe and reliable. It can be applied in the clinical promotionas a treatment method for the treatment of chronic liver disease.
